These Keto Tender Beef Bao Buns are a delicious and low-carb alternative to traditional bao buns, featuring a flavorful beef filling wrapped in a soft, keto-friendly dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons psyllium husk powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup hot water


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef, garlic, and ginger. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and green onions. Remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add hot water and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Divide the dough into portions and flatten each piece.
  7. Place a spoonful of beef mixture in the center of each piece.
  8. Wrap the dough around the filling and seal.
  9. Steam for about 15 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Use a steamer basket for best results.
