- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup scallions, chopped (green parts only)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the chopped scallions and lemon juice. Cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.

- For a creamier sauce, add 1/4 cup heavy cream to the skillet after cooking the shrimp.
- Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
