- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons taco seasoning
- 4 pita bread
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup red onion, diced
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled.
- Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, stir, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Warm the pita bread in a pan or oven.
- Layer the cooked beef, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, tzatziki sauce, and lettuce in each pita.
- Squeeze lime juice over each filled pita and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add avocado or feta cheese.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for a larger gathering.
