Description

A delicious low-carb twist on kebabs using smashed tortillas.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground meat with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into kebabs and thread them onto skewers.
  4. Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the tortillas by smashing them slightly.
  6. In the last few minutes of grilling, place the tortillas on the grill to warm.
  7. Once everything is cooked, assemble the kebabs in the smashed tortillas, adding cheese, bell peppers, and onions.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the meat for a few hours before grilling.
  • Feel free to add your favorite low-carb toppings.
