Description

A classic Italian-American dish made with pasta and hearty meatballs.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs.
  4. In a skillet, cook meatballs until browned.
  5. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve meatballs over spaghetti topped with fresh basil.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the meatball mixture.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a side salad.
