Description

A delicious sugar-free take on the classic General Tso Chicken, made easily in the air fryer for a healthier option.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon erythritol or preferred sweetener
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional for crisping)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, erythritol, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. If using, toss marinated chicken in cornstarch for extra crispiness.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
