Description

Delicious cabbage rolls filled with teriyaki beef, perfect for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and blanch the leaves for about 2 minutes, until softened.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, rice, teriyaki sauce, garlic, ginger, and green onions.
  4. Take a cabbage leaf and place a few tablespoons of the beef mixture at the base. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  5. Place rolled cabbage in a baking dish. Pour water over the rolls and cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate beef in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before assembling.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
