Description

A refreshing and creamy mousse perfect as a starter or appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 grams smoked trout
  • 100 grams cream cheese
  • 50 ml double cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 bunch watercress
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the smoked trout, cream cheese, double cream, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add the watercress, salt, and pepper, and pulse until just chopped. Do not over-blend.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  4. Serve chilled with crackers or toasted bread.

Notes

  • For an extra twist, try adding a dash of horseradish.
  • This mousse can be made a day in advance.
